Orange Almond Slice
A delicious and healthy breakfast slice packed with the goodness of oranges and almonds.

Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1.5 cup almond flour finely ground
- 0.5 cup rolled oats gluten free
- 0.25 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp sea salt
Wet Ingredients
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 0.25 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 0.25 cup orange juice freshly squeezed
- 2 tbsp almond milk unsweetened
- 1 tbsp orange zest fresh
- 1 tsp vanilla extract pure
Toppings
- 0.25 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, rolled oats, coconut sugar, baking powder, and sea salt.1.5 cup almond flour, 0.5 cup rolled oats, 0.25 cup coconut sugar, 1 tsp baking powder, 0.25 tsp sea salt
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, applesauce, orange juice, almond milk, orange zest, and vanilla extract.2 eggs, 0.25 cup unsweetened applesauce, 0.25 cup orange juice, 2 tbsp almond milk, 1 tbsp orange zest
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the sliced almonds evenly over the top.1 tsp vanilla extract
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the slice cool completely in the pan before lifting it out and slicing into 8 pieces.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
