Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour sifted
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 0.25 cup coconut oil melted
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened almond milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
    2 cups whole wheat flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, 0.5 tsp salt
  • Add the unsweetened applesauce, melted coconut oil, and almond milk to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
    0.5 cup unsweetened applesauce, 0.25 cup coconut oil
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let the biscuits cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a sweeter taste, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the dry ingredients.
