Healthy Christmas Biscuits
Festive and guilt-free Christmas biscuits made with whole grains and natural sweeteners.

Ingredients
Dough
- 1.5 cup whole wheat flour Provides fiber and nutrients.
- 0.5 cup almond flour Adds moisture and healthy fats.
- 0.25 cup coconut oil Healthy fat source.
- 0.25 cup honey or maple syrup Natural sweetener.
- 1 large egg Binds the ingredients.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
- 0.5 teaspoon baking powder Helps the biscuits rise.
- 0.25 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
Optional Decorations
- Natural food coloring For decorating.
- Unsweetened shredded coconut For decorating.
- Chopped nuts For decorating.
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more whole wheat flour.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Use Christmas-themed cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
- Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Let the biscuits cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Decorate with natural food coloring, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts, if desired.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
