Chocolate Banana Slice (Quick & Healthy)

Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1.5 cup whole wheat flour
- 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
- 0.25 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 0.5 cup maple syrup
- 0.25 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional
- 0.5 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
- Chopped nuts for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the slice cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
Notes
For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
