Double Chocolate Date Balls
Delicious and healthy double chocolate date balls, perfect for a guilt-free treat!

Ingredients
Base
- 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
- 0.5 cup raw almonds
- 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.25 tsp sea salt
Coating
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder For rolling
Instructions
- Soak the dates in warm water for 10 minutes to soften them (if they are not already soft). Drain well.
- In a food processor, combine the soaked dates, almonds, cocoa powder, and sea salt.1 cup Medjool dates, pitted, 0.5 cup raw almonds, 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Process until the mixture forms a sticky dough. If it's too dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until it comes together.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll each ball in cocoa powder until evenly coated.0.25 tsp sea salt
- Place the date balls on a baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to firm up. This step is optional but recommended for a firmer texture.
- Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
For a sweeter treat, add a tablespoon of maple syrup to the mixture. You can also use other nuts like walnuts or pecans. Add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
