Healthy Quinoa Biscuits
These healthy quinoa biscuits are a delicious and nutritious alternative to traditional biscuits. Made with quinoa flour, whole wheat flour, and a touch of honey, they're perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa flour finely ground
- 1 cup whole wheat flour packed
- 1 tbsp baking powder aluminum-free
- 0.5 tsp salt sea salt
Wet Ingredients
- 0.5 cup cold butter cut into small pieces
- 0.75 cup milk unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tbsp honey raw honey
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together quinoa flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.1 cup quinoa flour, 1 cup whole wheat flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, 0.5 tsp salt
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, combine milk and honey. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.0.5 cup cold butter, 0.75 cup milk
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a 1-inch thick circle. Use a 3-inch biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits.
- Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the biscuits cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, use melted coconut oil instead of butter.
