Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa flour finely ground
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour packed
  • 1 tbsp baking powder aluminum-free
  • 0.5 tsp salt sea salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup cold butter cut into small pieces
  • 0.75 cup milk unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp honey raw honey

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together quinoa flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a separate bowl, combine milk and honey. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a 1-inch thick circle. Use a 3-inch biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits.
  • Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let the biscuits cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, use melted coconut oil instead of butter.
