Healthy Lemon and Cottage Cheese Mousse
A light, creamy, and protein-rich dessert made with fresh lemon and cottage cheese. Naturally sweetened and perfect for a refreshing, guilt-free treat.
Ingredients
- - 1 cup cottage cheese preferably full-fat for creaminess
- - 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- - 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup to taste
- - Zest of 1 lemon
- - 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- - Pinch of salt
- - Optional: 1/2 tsp turmeric for color
- - Optional toppings: fresh berries crushed nuts, or coconut flakes
Instructions
- Blend the Base
- Add cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, honey/maple syrup, lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt to a blender or food processor.
- Process Until Smooth
- Blend on high speed for 1–2 minutes until very smooth and creamy. Scrape down sides as needed.
- Chill
- Spoon the mousse into small glasses or bowls. Chill for at least 1 hour to set and allow flavors to develop.
- Serve
- Garnish with fresh berries, a sprinkle of lemon zest, or a drizzle of honey before serving.
