This homemade raw vegan chocolate is rich, silky-smooth, and made with only natural, unprocessed ingredients. It's perfect for a healthy indulgence, plus it’s dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and packed with antioxidants.
- 1/2 cup raw cacao powder
- 1/2 cup coconut oil melted
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup or agave nectar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional add-ins:
- Chopped nuts almonds, pecans, walnuts
- Dried fruit cranberries, goji berries
- Chia seeds or hemp seeds
- Shredded coconut
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together melted coconut oil, maple syrup (or agave), vanilla extract, and sea salt until fully combined.
Sift in the raw cacao powder to remove any lumps, and whisk until smooth and glossy.
Pour the chocolate mixture into silicone molds or a lined small baking tray.
If desired, sprinkle with your favorite toppings like nuts, seeds, or dried fruit.
Place in the freezer for 30-45 minutes or until solid.
Remove from molds and store chocolates in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
Coconut oil melts at warm temperatures; keep chocolates chilled until ready to serve.
Use raw cacao powder (not cocoa powder) to maintain the "raw" status and antioxidant benefits.
You can adjust sweetness to taste by adding a bit more maple syrup if desired.
