Homemade Oven Cleaner

A natural and effective way to clean your oven without harsh chemicals.

Equipment

  • 1 Spray Bottle For easy application.
  • 1 Baking Soda Box container
  • 1 Spatula or Scraper For removing grime.
  • 1 Sponge or Cloth For wiping the oven.

Ingredients
  

Paste

  • 0.5 cup baking soda Natural cleaning agent.
  • water To form a paste.

Spray

  • White Vinegar Use to spray after applying baking soda paste.

Instructions
 

  • Remove oven racks and clean any loose debris from the bottom of the oven.
  • In a bowl, mix baking soda with enough water to form a spreadable paste.
  • Coat the inside of the oven with the baking soda paste, avoiding the heating elements. Be sure to wear gloves.
  • Let the paste sit for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  • After the paste has sat, spray the entire inside of the oven with white vinegar.
    0.5 cup baking soda
  • The vinegar will react with the baking soda and foam. Use a spatula or scraper to remove the grime, then wipe clean with a damp sponge or cloth.
  • Rinse the oven thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth. Replace oven racks.

Notes

For stubborn stains, repeat the process or scrub with a bit more force.
