  • 1 cup Raw hazelnuts
  • 0.25 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Sea salt

Optional Coating

  • 2 tablespoons Chopped hazelnuts for coating
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened shredded coconut for coating

Instructions

  • Soak the pitted Medjool dates in hot water for 10 minutes to soften them. Drain well before using.
  • In a food processor, combine the soaked and drained dates, raw hazelnuts, unsweetened cocoa powder, and sea salt.
1 cup Medjool dates, 1 cup Raw hazelnuts, 0.25 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder, 0.25 teaspoon Sea salt
  • Process until the mixture is smooth and sticky. It should form a ball in the food processor.
  • Roll the mixture into 12 equal-sized balls using your hands.
  • If desired, roll each ball in chopped hazelnuts or unsweetened shredded coconut until fully coated.
    2 tablespoons Chopped hazelnuts
  • Place the bliss balls on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Enjoy your healthy Nutella bliss balls immediately or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

For a smoother texture, you can roast the hazelnuts before using. Roast at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, then rub off the skins. If the mixture is too dry, add a tablespoon of water at a time until it reaches the desired consistency. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
