Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Knife

Ingredients

Produce

  • 1 head Broccoli cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 oz Mushrooms cremini or white button
  • 3 cloves Garlic freshly minced

Pantry

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil extra virgin
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce low sodium
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sesame Oil optional, for flavor
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the broccoli into florets. Slice the mushrooms. Mince the garlic.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they soften and start to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  • Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes along with the garlic.
