If your dates are dry, soak them in warm water for 10 minutes to soften. Drain well.
In a food processor, combine the dates, almonds, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, chia seeds, vanilla extract, and sea salt.

Process until the mixture forms a sticky dough. If it's too dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until it comes together.
Roll the dough into 12 equal-sized balls.
For extra chocolatey goodness, roll the balls in additional chocolate chips.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the balls to firm up.
