  • 1 cup water Filtered water is recommended
  • 1 stick cinnamon stick Ceylon cinnamon is preferred for its milder flavor and health benefits
  • 1 tablespoon honey Raw and unfiltered honey is best
  • 0.25 teaspoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine the water and cinnamon stick. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes to allow the cinnamon to infuse into the water.
  • Remove from heat and strain the cinnamon-infused water into a mug to remove the cinnamon stick.
  • Stir in the honey and lemon juice until well combined. Adjust the amount of honey to your preference.
    1 stick cinnamon stick, 1 tablespoon honey
  • Serve warm and sip slowly to soothe your sore throat. You can repeat this remedy 2-3 times a day as needed.

Notes

For a stronger cinnamon flavor, you can gently crush the cinnamon stick before simmering. Ensure honey is added after the mixture has cooled slightly to preserve its beneficial properties.
