Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional

  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 0.25 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  • In the same bowl, add the mashed banana, milk, egg, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Mix well until everything is combined.

  • If using, fold in the chopped walnuts/pecans and chocolate chips.

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the baked oats cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm, enjoy!
