Quinoa Black Bean Veggie Burgers
Delicious and healthy veggie burgers made with quinoa, black beans, and flavorful spices. Perfect for a quick and easy meal!

Ingredients
Burger Patty
- 1 cup cooked quinoa rinsed well
- 15 ounce black beans rinsed and drained
- 0.5 cup finely chopped onion yellow or white
- 0.5 cup finely chopped bell pepper any color
- 0.25 cup chopped cilantro fresh
- 1 tablespoon chili powder adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon cumin ground
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 0.25 cup breadcrumbs optional, for binding
Instructions
- Rinse and drain the black beans. Finely chop the onion and bell pepper. Chop the cilantro.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked quinoa, black beans, onion, bell pepper, cilantro, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs (if using).
- Mash the black beans slightly with a fork or potato masher to help the mixture bind together. Mix all ingredients until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil to the skillet. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
- Serve the veggie burgers on buns with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, avocado, and salsa.
Notes
For a spicier burger, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixture.
