  • 2 ripe avocados Pitted
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder High-quality
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup Pure
  • 0.25 cup almond milk Unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure
  • 0.1 teaspoon sea salt To taste

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor or high-speed blender, combine the avocados, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
  • Process until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This may take a few minutes.
  • Divide the mousse evenly among 4 small bowls or glasses. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the mousse to firm up slightly.
  • Serve chilled. Garnish with fresh berries, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, or a drizzle of maple syrup, if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
