Avocado Chocolate Mousse
A healthy and delicious chocolate mousse made with avocado, cocoa powder, and a touch of sweetener.

Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados pitted
- 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.5 cup maple syrup or honey or other sweetener to taste
- 0.25 cup almond milk or other plant-based milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- sea salt
Optional Toppings
- Fresh berries
- Shredded coconut
- Chocolate shavings
Instructions
- In a food processor or blender, combine the avocados, cocoa powder, maple syrup (or honey), almond milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
- Blend until completely smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the food processor or blender a few times to ensure everything is well combined.
- Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness or cocoa powder to your liking.
- Spoon the mousse into small bowls or glasses. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set.
- Before serving, garnish with fresh berries, shredded coconut, or chocolate shavings, if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder. Adjust sweetener to taste depending on preference. Mousse can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
