Healthier Orange Biscuits
A delightful and healthier take on classic orange biscuits, perfect for a light breakfast or afternoon treat. These biscuits use whole wheat flour and less sugar for a guilt-free indulgence.

Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cup whole wheat flour Provides fiber and nutrients.
- 0.25 cup rolled oats Adds texture.
- 1 tablespoon baking powder For leavening.
- 0.25 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
Wet Ingredients
- 0.25 cup unsweetened applesauce Replaces some of the butter for moisture and sweetness.
- 0.25 cup coconut oil Adds moisture and flavor.
- 0.5 cup orange juice Provides flavor and moisture.
- 2 tablespoon orange zest Adds intense orange flavor.
- 2 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Adds sweetness.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Drop rounded spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are lightly golden brown.
- Let the biscuits cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm or at room temperature.

These biscuits are best enjoyed fresh. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
