Healthy Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse
A rich and decadent dark chocolate mousse made with healthy avocados and sweetened naturally. This mousse is incredibly creamy, intensely chocolatey, and surprisingly good for you!

Ingredients
Base
- 2 ripe avocados Pitted
- 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder For a rich chocolate flavor
- 0.5 cup maple syrup Or honey, to taste
- 0.25 cup almond milk Or any plant-based milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the flavor
- 0.25 teaspoon sea salt Balances the sweetness

- Fresh berries Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries
- Chocolate shavings Dark or milk chocolate
- Chopped nuts Almonds, walnuts, pecans
- Cacao nibs For a crunchy texture
Instructions
- In a food processor or blender, combine the avocados, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
- Process or blend until completely smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor a few times to ensure everything is well combined.
- Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness or flavor as needed. Add more maple syrup for sweetness, cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor, or a pinch more salt to balance the flavors.
- Spoon the mousse into individual serving glasses or bowls. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the mousse to firm up.
- Before serving, garnish with your favorite toppings such as fresh berries, chocolate shavings, chopped nuts, or cacao nibs.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!

For a vegan option, ensure your chocolate shavings are dairy-free. This mousse can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
