Ingredients
Chickpeas
- 2 can Chickpeas drained and rinsed
Harissa Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons Harissa Paste adjust to taste
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt or to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, harissa paste, lemon juice, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt until well combined. Adjust the amount of harissa paste to your desired spice level.
- Add the drained and rinsed chickpeas to the bowl with the harissa sauce. Toss to ensure all chickpeas are evenly coated.
- Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the chickpeas are crispy and slightly browned, stirring halfway through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm as a snack, side dish, or topping for salads and grain bowls.
Notes
For extra crispy chickpeas, pat them dry with a paper towel before coating with the harissa sauce. You can also add other spices to the sauce, such as cumin or coriander.
