Green Beans with Garlic Fried Breadcrumbs
A simple and delicious side dish featuring tender green beans topped with crispy, garlicky fried breadcrumbs.

Ingredients
Green Beans
- 1 pound green beans trimmed
Breadcrumbs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until tender-crisp. Drain well.
- While the green beans are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant. Add the breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the drained green beans to the skillet with the breadcrumbs and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
