Equipment
- 1 Food Processor or High-Speed Blender
- 1 Freezer-Safe Container For storing leftovers
Ingredients
Base
- 2 large ripe bananas, sliced and frozen The riper the bananas, the sweeter the nice cream.
Optional Mix-Ins
- 1 tbsp peanut butter or other nut butter
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- cinnamon To taste
- almond milk Just a splash, if needed to help blending
Optional Toppings
- Fresh berries Such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
- Chopped nuts Such as almonds, walnuts, pecans
- Seeds Such as chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds
- Dark chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Place the frozen banana slices in a food processor or high-speed blender.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This may take a few minutes.
- If using, add your desired mix-ins (peanut butter, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon) and blend until well combined.
- If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of almond milk to help it blend. Be careful not to add too much, as it will make the nice cream too runny.
- Serve immediately for a soft-serve consistency. For a firmer consistency, transfer the nice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Top with your favorite toppings, such as fresh berries, chopped nuts, seeds, or dark chocolate shavings.
