  • 1 cup warm water
  • 0.5 lemon, juiced freshly squeezed
  • 1 inch ginger, peeled and grated fresh ginger root
  • 0.25 teaspoon turmeric powder optional, for extra anti-inflammatory benefits
  • 0.25 teaspoon honey or maple syrup optional, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients: warm water, lemon, ginger, turmeric powder (if using), and honey or maple syrup (if using).
  • In a glass, combine the warm water, lemon juice, grated ginger, and turmeric powder (if using).
    1 cup warm water, 0.5 lemon, juiced, 1 inch ginger, peeled and grated
  • Add honey or maple syrup to taste, if desired. Stir well until dissolved.
    0.25 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Drink immediately. Best enjoyed warm.

Notes

Adjust the amount of lemon, ginger, and sweetener to your liking. For a stronger ginger flavor, steep the grated ginger in the warm water for a few minutes before adding the other ingredients.
