Healthy Frozen Yogurt Bites with Chocolate Coating
Ingredients
- Frozen Yogurt Bites
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or thick dairy-free yogurt
- 1/2 cup peanut butter or any nut/seed butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or sweetener of choice
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 pinch sea salt
- Chocolate Coating
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Peanuts finely chopped, for optional topping
Instructions
- Add all ingredients for yogurt bites into a large bowl and mix well.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, scoop the batter onto a parchment paper-lined tray.
- Place the tray in the freezer for 1–2 hours, or until fully hardened.
- Once the bites are set, start making the chocolate coating.
- Make chocolate coating by mixing chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat until smooth.
- Dip each frozen yogurt bite into the melted chocolate. Top with peanuts if using.
- Freeze for another 15 minutes or until chocolate coating is fully hardened.
- Store bites in the freezer and thaw when ready to eat. Enjoy!
Notes
You can substitute peanut butter with almond butter, sunflower seed butter, or cashew butter.
To keep it vegan, use dairy-free yogurt and vegan chocolate chips.
For added crunch, sprinkle extra chopped nuts or seeds on top before freezing.
